, has an opening for a full-time experienced RV Plant Purchasing Agent who will have responsibilities for all aspects of materials management for the entire manufacturing plant and as such requires a high level of dedication and ownership.
Main responsibilities include:
Frequent vendor interaction via telephone and email Conduct negotiations with suppliers Long- and short-term forecasting Prepare POs and bid requests; issue POs and confirm delivery date, quantity, and pricing are correct Recognize and submit ideas for cost savings opportunities and process improvements Oversee physical inventories and other reconciliations to ensure adequate material level to support production needs Maintain accurate knowledge and records of all purchasing and procedures Resolve issues through communication, research, and timely follow-up Ensure decision making and document storage complies with established Company and legal guidelines Protect Company's value by keeping information confidential Generate various reports Skills required:
Successful prior RV or RV vendor negotiations and supply chain management experience Positive attitude and drive for continuous improvement Friendly and mature demeanor Ability to maintain your cool in stressful situations Strong time management and self-discipline Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication Good general math and grammar skills Good attendance Collaboration and a team-oriented work ethic Data entry Advanced Excel knowledge; Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn inventory software This position is full-time, salaried exempt, and reports to the Director of Purchasing.
